Insurance
General Insurance
Health indemnity cover for an individual or a whole family under one sum insured, plus personal accident, travel and home policies. The important variables are not the premium but the room rent limit, the waiting period on pre-existing conditions and the network hospital list, since those decide what actually gets paid at admission.
What you get
- Individual and family floater policies quoted across insurers
- Room rent, co-payment and sub-limits shown explicitly, not buried in the brochure
- Waiting periods on pre-existing conditions stated at quote stage
- Cashless network hospital list checked for the customer own city
- Top-up and super top-up options over an existing employer policy
- Personal accident, domestic travel and home cover from the same counter
FAQ
About general insurance
What does a waiting period actually mean?
A pre-existing condition is not covered until the policy has run for the waiting period stated in the contract, commonly a few years. Claims for that condition inside the window are refused. This is why continuing an existing policy is usually better than switching to a cheaper one and restarting the clock.
Is a family floater better than separate policies?
A floater shares one sum insured across the family, which is cheaper and usually sufficient. It becomes a poor fit when one member has a serious condition, because a single large claim can exhaust the cover for everyone else that year.
